Rachella Michaels MA and Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, UKCP, APP.
Rachella has practiced counselling and psychotherapy for over 15 years, so has considerable experience of working with adults of all ages, both in long and short-term work. Offering an integrative approach, Rachella trained originally in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy and has specialised in working with issues such as lack of confidence, anxiety, lack of direction, depression and conflict, as well as family and relationship issues, ageing, loss, and gender issues.
She has an MA and Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and is registered with the United Kingdom Counsel for Psychotherapy. She is a member of BACP.
She has also studied Couples Counselling and Psychotherapy using the Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT-C) approach popular in Canada and the United States. This offers a professional, constructive and supportive framework for couples struggling to resolve differences threatening their relationship. It provides the opportunity for a couple to work through difficulties, anxieties and tensions, and to develop an understanding of how they arise both in themselves and each other.

Rachella comes from a scientific background, having worked in industry and marketing before taking up counselling and psychotherapy. She studied psychology at London University, and Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychosynthesis London. She studied Emotion Focused Couples Therapy at York University, Toronto, Canada.
Her passions include photography, walking, sailing, adventurous travel, animals, reading, writing and landscape painting. She loves the countryside, nature, her Labrador retriever and the sea. She has a long-term partner, and adult son.
With her partner, who is a life coach, Rachelle has developed a unique combination of psychotherapy and life coaching for running successful workshops.
